Foot-pounding five-piece folk band Harry Oakwood joins Aurora for a concert inspired by journeys both real and imagined. Iconic works by Wagner and Copland sit alongside Julian Anderson’s dazzling Alhambra Fantasy; new commissions from the winners of the 2011 BBC Inspire Young Composers’ Competition; and original music by Harry. Broadcast live on BBC Radio 3, this performance celebrates Aurora’s Royal Philharmonic Society Ensemble Award.
